Return & refund

At Shiva Tribe Marketplace, we take pride in offering handcrafted, sustainable, and essential rural products that directly support artisans and local communities. Since many of our products are handmade, slight variations are natural and reflect their authenticity. However, we understand that sometimes returns may be necessary.
 
Return Window:
Customers can initiate a return request within 10 days of receiving the product.
Certain specialty handcrafted and made-to-order items may not be eligible for returns (see Non-Returnable Items section).
Eligible Conditions for Return:
The product must be unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging with all tags and labels intact.
Returns are accepted only in cases of defects, damage in transit, or incorrect product delivery.
Since we promote sustainability, buyers are encouraged to exchange instead of returning whenever possible to reduce carbon footprint.
Non-Returnable Items:
Handmade handicrafts, personalized products, made-to-order items, and perishable goods (such as organic food and wellness products) cannot be returned unless received in a damaged or defective condition.
Digital products, gift cards, and donations are non-returnable.
 
Return Process:
Customers must email (support@shivatribe.org) or raise a return request on our website with the order ID, reason for return, and clear images of the product (if damaged/defective).
Our team will verify the request within 48 hours and guide customers through the process.
Once approved, we will arrange a pickup (for eligible pin codes) or guide customers to ship the product back to our designated address.
After receiving and verifying the product, we will process the refund or exchange within 5-7 business days.
 
Return Shipping Costs:
If the product was damaged in transit, defective, or incorrect, we will cover the return shipping cost.
For voluntary returns (e.g., change of mind), the customer must bear the return shipping charges to reduce the environmental impact.
Since our products are crafted with care and sustainability, we encourage exchanges over returns to support artisans and minimize waste.
 
Exchange Window:
Customers can request an exchange within 10 days of receiving the product.
Eligible Conditions for Exchange:
The product must be unused, in its original condition and packaging.
Exchanges are allowed only for size variations (apparel), minor defects, or if the wrong item was sent.
 
Exchange Process:
Customers must contact us via email (support@shivatribe.org) or the website with their order details and exchange request.
Our team will confirm eligibility within 48 hours and provide further instructions.
Once the product is received and inspected, we will dispatch the exchanged item within 3-5 business days.
 
Exchange Shipping Costs:
If the exchange is due to an error on our part (wrong or defective item), we will cover the shipping costs.
For voluntary exchanges (size/color change), customers will need to bear the shipping charges.
Refund Policy:
As a non-profit organization, we do not offer cash refunds except in specific cases. Instead, we promote store credits and exchanges to reinvest in our mission of supporting rural artisans and sustainable living.
 
Refund Eligibility:
Refunds are issued only for orders where a replacement or exchange is not possible.
Eligible cases include damaged products, out-of-stock items, or incorrect shipments where exchanges are not feasible.
 
Refund Methods:
Refunds are primarily issued as Store Credit, which customers can use for future purchases.
In rare cases (e.g., incorrect transactions, double payments, or missing orders), refunds can be processed to the original payment method within 7-10 business days.
 
Refund Processing Time:
Once the returned item is received and inspected, we initiate the refund within 5-7 business days.
It may take an additional 3-5 days for the amount to reflect in the original payment mode.

Additional Guidelines

Sustainability & Ethical Responsibility:
Since each purchase supports rural artisans and sustainable businesses, we request our customers to think consciously before initiating a return/exchange.
We actively encourage repairs, upcycling, and exchanges instead of returns to support our sustainability goals.
 
Custom Orders & Donations:
Orders for customized products, bulk orders, and donations made to support our rural initiatives are final and cannot be refunded or exchanged.
 
Fraud Prevention Measures:
To protect the interests of our artisans, repeated returns/exchange requests from the same customer may lead to restrictions on future purchases.
 
All returns are subject to quality checks to prevent fraudulent claims.
